
The Colorado Department of Transportation is one of 35 semi-finalists in a global competition, and one of two semi-finalists in Colorado, for the new technology which would provide a safer and faster commute.
“You can put people in them. You can put freight in them. There’s a lot of applications. So it’s kind of like the railroad- only a couple hundred years later, and it’s a new technology,” said Bhatt.

ATPIO cosponsored, coorganized and participated in the 3rd Conference of Transportation Research Group (CTRG) of India on December 17-20, 2015, in Kolkata, India. Prof. Kumares Sinha and Prof. Anuj Sharma, who are part of the ATPIO Board of Directors participated in the conference and served on the scientific and organizing committee respectively. Prof. Kumares Sinha wass one of the keynote speakers at the conference. The conference was designed to facilitate information exchange among transportation researchers, educators, managers, and policymakers from India and all over the world. The conference will address all forms of passenger and freight transport at the urban, regional, inter-city, and rural levels.
